Bogota Summer Olympics

Designed and created in my Graphic Design II class

ABOUT THE PROJECT

SUMMER OLYMPICS COLLAB PROJECT

The objective of this project was to join a team of three other graphic design students to create a logo, icons, and merchandise for the Bogota Summer Olympics of 2032. The inspiration for the logo came from the culture, the architecture and the bags that the women carry around. Its flowy and not rigid, as well as represents diversity.

Lanyard Mockup

These lanyards are to be worn by all the Olympic athletes that will be taking part in the 2032 Olympics (example above: Gabby Douglas). Includes: Athletes name, where they are from, and the sport they are involved in.

Dufflebag mockup

This dufflebag is a 2032 Summer Olympics original.

Logo inspiration

The inspiration for the logo was taken from different aspects of the Bogota, Colombia culture such as the architecture, art that is located in Bogota; as well as the bags the women carry. The color palette is bold and lively just like the people who live there. The movement and the different shapes that make the logo represent diversity in their culture.

My contributions

My contributions that I did between the three other students. Main focus was the mockups, but I did help with the overall project on different things.

Moodboard and research

Alot of research went into this project. We took apart Bogota and divided into different categories. We also included 3-5 core elements and 2 mood boards.
